cuz if you have any bike problems, we're closed! the whole university is closed. we don't have a choice in it. we do have the choice of not booking any appointments on Monday, and we're going to do that too! To recap; Friday April 6 2012 - Closed for Good Friday. Just find somewhere nice to hang out. Monday April 9 2012 - Closed to bring back a clean bike shop and whatever is left of the lending fleet. See what I did there?

1- The Pump House 2- Bikechain is hiring - Summer WS & Summer Mechanics 3- Lab coats? 4- A song with swear words! 5- Critical Mass 6- Space crunch
1- We finished it! There's now a delightful little house for the pump that sits at the top of the stairs! There are instructions and valve caps if you need them. Please put it away when you're done. and if you can make a little Snoopy to go on top, that would be awesome.
2- Summer Workstudy! It's early to let folks know, but we didn't fill many positions last year, so it's time to create some advance buzz. You'll need to be full-time over the summer semesters and receiving OSAP. Some other restrictions probably apply, and we'll let you know when we know. Think on it and spread the word.
Also, we're looking for mechanics to work the shop for the summer months, supervising the volunteers and workstudies, and otherwise making things run in the most fun way possible.
There's a job description here; http://bikechain.utoronto.ca/index.php/useful-information/114-educational-bicycle-mechanic-job-description
3- Are you leaving your lab rat days behind you soon? Don't know what to do with your oddly stained and funny smelling lab coat? Give it to Bikechain! We'd love to have a wider range of protective coverings for folks coming into the workspace, above and beyond the aprons we presently offer.
If you've got one, we'd appreciate having it! Come by and drop it off during our open hours.
4- Yup. There's some swearing. Maybe not safe for your work, but here in the shop we have either lower standards or higher tolerances.

5- Critical Mass, it's a thing! Last Friday of every month, meeting at Bloor & Spadina at 6pm, ride departs at 6:30. Now that it's warming up, it'll be super fun times. March 30th this month.
6- Yes, we're busy. We've been looking for a larger space, and have been asking after using our ping-pong antechamber. Thus far, no avail. We're working on it, and we'll be asking for your help soon, once we decide on how. In the meantime, if you just need to oil your chain, book an appointment on Monday or Saturday. Thanks!
Top of the morning to you!
