1- Bikechain re-opens! Happy New Year, and I hope everyone had an enjoyable time away from school. We'll be back to helping you and your ride in the coming days; Bike Lending - January 9th Appointments - January 9th Drop-in - January 10th 2- Bikechain AGM We've got some great news; our current President, Alex Legum is now a UofT alumnus! Go Alex! Why does this merit being on the Bikechain mailing list? Because we're going to need to beef up our Board of Directors to have more current students (f/t undergrads or any grads). Want to vote in the powers that be at Bikechain, or better, become one of the powers that be? Come to the GSU Lounge, 16 Bancroft Ave, on Wednesday January 18th, 7:30pm to participate in the Bikechain General Member's meeting. It's a great chance to gain experience in non-profit governance and management, and everyone on the Board right now is pretty swell! 3- Don't forget to oil your lock! Yup, that time of year when it could get brain-numbing cold any time of day or night. The cold doesn't only numb your brain, it'll freeze your lock! Stop by and a couple drops of the good stuff (oil) to your lock, and we'll have extra bottles of spray lube around 'just in case' your lock freezes. Leave a t-card with us and we'll let you borrow a bottle! That isn't all the news that's fit to print, but it's the best we've got right now. Ride safe! The Bikechain Team
